Claircognizant, Clairvoyant, What That Actually Means in a Reading

Claircognizant means I "clear-know", information arrives as a sudden, unprompted certainty rather than as an image or a voice. I'll be sitting with someone and just know something about their situation, fully formed, with no logical chain I can point back to that explains how I got there. It's disorienting to describe and completely ordinary to experience, once you've lived with it as long as I have.
Clairvoyant means I also see, symbols, flashes, impressions that arrive more like a still image than a sentence. Sometimes it's literal: a place, an object, a color that turns out to mean something specific to the person I'm reading. Sometimes it's symbolic, closer to how a dream operates, and part of the work is translating what arrives into language that actually lands for the person in front of me.
I want to be honest about what a reading is not, because I think the popular image, crystal balls, dramatic revelations, a stranger who somehow knows your whole life, sets people up to either be disappointed or to misunderstand what's actually useful about this. In a reading, I'm not performing a script, and I'm not fishing for information to hand back to you dressed up as insight. I'm sitting with your energy, genuinely quiet inside myself, and reporting back whatever surfaces. Sometimes that's a single word. Sometimes it's a pattern I can see repeating in your life before you've said a thing about it, a relationship shape, a professional habit, a fear dressed up as practicality.
This is a skill, not a party trick, and I want to be clear about that too. I've built it the same way I've built everything else in this work, over years, through consistent practice, cross-checked constantly against what actually shows up true afterward. Early on, I got things wrong. I still occasionally get impressions that don't land, and I say so, because the alternative, forcing an impression to fit just to seem more accurate, is worse than being wrong sometimes. What I trust now is the accumulated pattern of years getting it right often enough, specifically enough, that I stopped needing to explain it to myself in order to use it.
What actually happens in a session, practically: I hold the question or the space you've brought, I go quiet, and I let whatever arrives, arrive, before I try to interpret it, before I let my own opinions about your situation get involved. That ordering matters. The interpretation comes after the information, not before, or the whole thing collapses into me just telling you what I think, which isn't what you came for.
People sometimes ask me if this ever gets things I don't want to know, or say things I'd rather not say. Regularly. Part of doing this honestly is reporting what surfaces even when it's not comfortable, for either of us. That's the difference between an intuitive reading and a nice conversation, a reading has to be willing to be inconvenient sometimes, or it isn't actually information, it's just reassurance in a prettier outfit.
I don't fully understand, in a scientific sense, how any of this works, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. What I know is that it's real, it's trainable, it's been accurate enough over enough years that I trust it the same way I trust anything else I've built carefully. That's what you're actually getting in a reading, not magic, exactly. Just a very old, very human skill, taken seriously and practiced properly.
